I'm looking for a good hydration sack to use when lightweight hiking and running. I've been looking at something like this:

Ideally I could do with being able to carry about 2 litres of juice/water and a lightweight waterproof.

Has anyone used anything like these before, which models would you recommend?

I have never used one, I just thought others have but I think they would be more familiar with what you're talking about if you call it a camelback or something in the topic. Maybe. Perhaps meri and altoids can answer. Also, SGH might have used something like that.

It looks a lot like my camel back - I think I have run 5,000 miles in it. The one thing to keep in mind is storage (Other than H20) capacity. Mine holds 70 ounces of water, but I only have room in the zipper compartment for a little baggy of Toilet paper, and a few gels. Hiking you may want to have a tad more room for other things.

We just bought a CamelBack yesterday for our friend's birthday. We bought him a small one for skiing -- it holds 1.5L and is small enough to fit under his jacket if he wants.

At the shop, we also saw the Dakine brand and theirs looked good as well, but we liked it that the CamelBack comes with a lifetime guarantee for the bite valve.

One of my running buddies has started wearing one that snaps around her waist, but it doesn't seem ideal. She has to stop and walk to drink from it.
