Yo: Way to be flexible with your workouts re: schedule.
MQ: Psyched for your trip! I so miss traveling. One day I'll get back to it.
Sparty: How exciting for DS, and it must be so awesome for you to watch. I had what was among my first real "proud parent moments" last week. Of course, I have proud moments all the time, but this type I'm referring to when you spin your kid away from you and someone else recognizes. Camden started a soccer program once per week. The teacher saw how well he runs and called him "the Runner". The kid does run really well. You bet I was like, YIPPIEEEE! Because I know why he runs so well -- I chase him all over the house and yard!
Me...
3.8 mile run/walk early this morning. I made a transition this week to going back to real routes on my run/walks. When walking, you can only go so far in 40 to 50 minutes, but now that I'm running, even if slow, I am getting back to actual loops! Still plodding, but I'm loving it! Ran most of this in 42 minutes.
MQ: Where are you going? I missed that!
Alicia
Yosake: I marvel how you can get all those runs in with your busy, busy life. Great job!!!
Reg: You do seem to be enjoying the running!
Thor: I hear you. We did one plane trip when my boys were 1 and 3 and it was so stressful, the only vacations we did until they turned 5 and 7 were car trips. You'll get there. Long weekend away somewhere with just you and Heather? Will do wonders
Me: Iso Hammer speed and hammer abs. Walk later. Dreaming of vacation, St. Thomas 2 weeks from tomorrow!!
Jealous of the travelers in our group. Italy is penciled in for 2018 and we are considering Florida or California in 2017 because we want the kids to start traveling.
Longest run of 2016 today...2 miles! Felt pretty easy. I think I'm done dreaming of long races for a while; 10k sounds like enough for now.
Julie: Heading to Barbados on Saturday. So excited and happy and looking forward to parking myself on that plane to sleep and wake up in the sun. Course I say this after the crazy warm weather we are having now.
Peeps run this a.m. Just Kitty, Lana and I. We did a meandering kinda route for 5 miles. It was nice. Not my fastest but it got done with wonderful company. So thankful to have found my run peeps. Love it that people come here to gather and workout together. This house has been a great thing for us.
Thor - How exciting about Camden starting a soccer, and of course he is a natural runner! Are you going to coach his team down the road - is this something you would be interested in?
Sparty - yay to your DS as well!
MQ - how nice to have a running company coming to your home in early AM! Sat.... is around the corner!
Speaking of travel, my kids have been traveling on plane since they were a few months old (including 13-hr ride to Japan). We did visit, at our last count, forty-something National Parks/Seashores/Historical sites, etc all that over the last 15yrs. We haven't done many in the recent years due to scheduling issues (Boy Scout is to blame..) ... sadly. We are planning to squeeze one more family trip before DD leaves home for college.
9miles including 7 at MP. I know it would be a tough one as I headed out. And sure enough my legs had no hop and rhythm, but got it done at 8:18 ave. pace. I am happy with that. I revised my target to beat my PR from 2011 Boson 3:42 something. 8:25pace is what I am shooting.

If the boy wants to play once he hits that golden age, you bet your ass I'll coach him! Same with the girl. Wouldn't even consider not doing it -- unless they begged me not to.
I'm with Sparty - waiting to go on a vacation, and bumming that I can't go to the beach with y'all!
4.5 mile RUN with cube neighbor. Was going to ellipticate - esp. after doing the treadmill yesterday - but the day was too fine not to go out and socialize on a run. Conversational 9:15ish pace.
Haven't even planned this year's vacation ... let alone waiting for it! lol
Tho - hitting the slopes every weekend are mini vacations.
Tuesday - I did get a 3 mile run in...only one this week I think
Wednesday - full body weights and 35 min on the trainer
Today? Was supposed to go to the pool, but had to travel to a contractor location for 1 pm, so that ended that. DOR #2 this week.
Tomorrow?!?! We'll see what the weather is going to be like - might hit the gym for weights or may end up on the trainer...
waving!
