4 mile run early this very dark and cold morning. Thought of TASM the whole way. Legs garbage. But not related to the warm thoughts on this frigid morning.
Sparty - I know how the procedure goes... Yeah fun times. I am keeping fingers crossed something causing you the discomfort will be identified.
MQ - Why couldn't your sister watch the match? Looking too painful, or the.... uniform?
No running day! I am sure I look forward to every Wednesday. Legs aren't feeling that tired at all (judging from walking upstairs) to my surprise. Back is tight though. May try to swim a bit just to relax. And of course foal roller, tennis ball, and all that usual.
DS received a MVP award from his XC team last night. The wrestling coach is really excited to have him on his team... Meets every Sat in Jan/Feb. Hmmmmm.
Up at normal east coast time, means pitch dark and 0300 Pacific time...25 min on the elliptical and then jumped on the dreadmill for a little over 3 miles of running and intervals...of course as I was getting done, it got light out....
Yoshi: Congrats to DS!! My sister cannot watch because she sees it as someone wanting to hurt her kid and her mother bear instinct kicks in. I guess she isn't looking at the pure strategy and sport of it.
A cold and windy 3 mile warm up run, followed by core. Just as sore today as I thought I would be from yesterday's weight workout. It's good to remember what this kind of soreness feels like.
You know he's good when the coach is excited by his potential (and proud mom sticks him in her profile pic)!
A pretty brisk commute in this morning. Got to admit, wasn't looking forward to it, but it was fine when I got going ... just molasses-leg slow (low 16s). Same home for the usual 40....

40 minutes or so run. Back out in the woods, a little warmer than Monday, but not much.
@Yo: i do not wear anything in the snow. However, I dont normally run in much snow that isnt already well trampled by MTB, dog walkers, and other runners. I usually end up with wet socks and a bad attitude. I am way to cheap for anything as specialized as gaiters. Heck, 85% of my runs are done in cotton tees.
@x: I have got back into weights several times of the decades. Oh that pain after a long layoff.
Sparty I hope the answer comes soon!
I had an unplanned DOR leaving me finishing my bike miles tomorrow. My car developed an issue, I limped it in to the repair shop where it was repaired for free but that ate into my workout hours.
Got the news from the tree folks that my job is too small for them (keep hearing that about a retaining wall rebuild too) I am not understanding "too small" but I guess I will add a lot more landscape chores to the list. One tree is too tall for me and I am nearly at my wits end trying to figure out how to get it trimmed (its grown over the house so it has to happen)!
Tomorrow is another day, lets see what it brings!
Still a bit under the weather, so I took a night off. Did some cooking for the new diet so that was good and go to bed at a reasonable time. Hope to get an easy ride in tonight and start to ramp it up a little!
