A tempo run was on the agenda for this evening but my easy runs yesterday and this morning felt a little harder than they should have. Didn't have much confidence that I could hit the times I wanted so I decided to do a progression run. If I felt good, I would eventually get down to the times I wanted to run. I started at 8:20 pace and .5% incline and increased .1 mph every two minutes. First 4 miles were 8:13, 7:44, 7:23, 7:04 and then it started getting hard. First tempo mile was 6:48. The second was 6:32 and the last was a race effort 6:19. With the incline making it about 8 seconds/mile harder than level, I hit right on my goal.


Decided not to go to ncaa d1 nationals. Too cold and miserable forecast. Hoping to go to Louisville in a couple weeks to watch d2 nationals.


Easy 4 miles tomorrow will give my 68 for the week with 3 good workouts.
