Nice work Duck! I'd probably pee myself (with happiness) if I ever ran a 1:36 half.
Is it just me or are there a bunch of people in the 30s fb thread that I have no idea who they are? Do I just not know their real names? Or are they not 30s?
1 - uhm, yeah. i'm impressed, duck!!! congrats - how do the legs feel today?
2- uhm, yeah again. i do not know the answer to that question.
ron!! check in! how did DD and team do at CIF??
AK has no school all week long. she has a play date today and then my parents (aka the the world's most fabulous babysitters) come up tomorrow. woooooot!!
****, at this point I'd be thrilled with a 1:56! I am so discouraged by how slow I have become. (Yes, last week I said I wasn't going to worry about pace, but that was before I ran with a friend who had a Garmin and saw how pathetic I've become.)
There are definitely a few people in the 30s that I don't know. I think they were all added by the same member, so I'm assuming they participated in a Midwestern meet-up at some point.
No cooking for me. I fly out Thursday at 7 a.m. and arrive at my destination at 1. I'll be starving, stinky, exhausted, and ready for a nap before dinner!
Morning 30's we got back from Vegas yesterday afternoon and I just hung out with the kids. Vegas was a lot of fun. I got to hang out with my friends and we saw Norm McDonald. He was pretty funny and it felt good to really laugh. I love the weather in Las Vegas this time of the year. It was in the 60's during the day and 40's at night. I went for a run and didn't even sweat much. I had to come into work to get a few things done. I had planned on taking the whole week off but oh well. Tomorrow I will stay home.
missy my daughter didn't run and the team didn't have the best of races. They ended up finishing 10th but with only one senior on the team they should have a great shot at it next year.
hi ya peeps- kids are out of school starting today so I'm taking them to Disney later for the holiday parade and all that.
I put this on our 30's FB page but fort hose of you who aren't on it...this is from that fitness competition I mentioned I was doing. I could use your vote! The gym is raising money for Working Wardrobes- you don't have to donate to vote but any support is appreciated.
Just click on Vote- then my picture and then submit. Thanks! http://starktraining.leadpages.co/starknakedvoting/
HEY!!! Hope everyone is having great family time today.
I'm having a hermit day, and it's been lovely. Went to yoga this morning, then came home and walked the beasts (the little guy is still on vacation at my house), then we had lunch (ham/bean soup that I made*), had a nap with a beast on my chest (MMMMMM), and got some pottery stuff together. And we went for another walk. (we have 5 miles in today.) Just a nice low-key day, which I really needed after the last week.
*Made the broth a couple days ago, brined some pork chops for a few days and smoked them last night to make ham, soaked dry beans and cooked them, and added carrots and celery, some herbs… finished throwing everything together this morning and it cooked while I was at yoga. MMMMM. it's yummy!
Hi 30's I just wanted to say I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I had a nice day with the family and today the girls and I went Christmas shopping. I am about half way to the finish line. This is about as early as I have ever started.
Back atcha Ron. I've been taking the week off of running, concentrating on eating lots of food instead!
