I was thinking the title might look good and was wondering if anyone was a certified financial planner.

I hear the test is fair to middling tough.

anytime - glad to help

BTW - the CFP Exam is expensive (~$700) - in my mind part of that is to keep people from just "giving it a try"

I am currently doing ce courses right now and the guy who teaches them has about 9 different accreditations after his name, he mentioned the fee!

at some point in becomes comical to use all the alphabet soup after your name - a buddy of mine had:

JD, LLM, MBA, CFP, CFA, ChFC, CLU and about 10 more things on top of that - he would just use whatever letters were appropriate for whatever he was doing

The guy who teaches the ce courses is interesting, he likes to wax about the .com days and brag about some of his bigger trades during that particular period of financial insanity.

I even believe some of his stories.
